Update: Arrests Made, Children Rescued

Two members of The Body were arrested in Washington on April 8th, 2022. A six-year-old was recovered at the scene. In a separate incident involving the police and CPS, a three-year-old was rescued. Both children are safe and are now with their mother who has been out of the cult for years.
This is a totally unexpected development in the story and it seems very likely there’s more to come. Obviously, this pleases editorial a great deal.
Since this occurred the magazine has been on hiatus. There’s a lot to figure out while the serious business of reporting this chapter of the story takes place. There is more content ready to be published that will be coming as soon as a story that reflects what’s going on in Tonasket comes out.
